La Nueva Tequilas – Authentic Mexican Cuisine & Signature Margaritas in Gonzales, LA

My husband and I first time here, and I must say it's definitely an awesome spot. It may be a little ducked off, but don't let that discourage you from going. they have really good food and amazing drinks. I love their margaritas and long Island are good too Mrs. Carol, she was sweet and made sure everything was great. My husband tried the quail and it was so good. Crispy, seasoned, moist. I had their steak, and omg, it was good to perfection, seasoned, and their veggies are tasty also.

It was the first time visiting this restaurant. it's 4:00 pm, and it's understandable it's slow. The chips come warm with a mixture of flour and corn tortilla. The salsa has a slow heat and tastes fresh. I am having the beef fajitas. I decided to start this review while waiting on my food. I don't understand why the wait is longer than I expected,since the restaurant is slow. I did notice a to go order go out before us. I found the fajitas well seasoned and delicious . I would certainly come again.the service was friendly and welcoming.

Great food, super nice all smiles servers. Enjoyed the house margaritas, carnittas quesadillas, side of guacamole, 4 enchiladas and a regular ground meat hard taco. Everything was spot on delishous. Sunday is funday and there was a discount on our margaritas. Great deal!

Food is always hot and fresh with great customer service and presentation. My husband is African and when I say this man hardly likes any one's rice. He was enjoying it so much!! If you can please that man then that means the food is a winner!!

This is one of those times when I cannot wait to do a review. Have you ever gone somewhere and just had the best experience? This is how I felt eating here. It was extremely clean. Carol and Geraldo are the sweetest husband and wife team. They were so warm and personable. I felt like they were longtime friends. So patient and helpful with good suggestions on what to order. I had the strawberry mango Margarita, blended. Made to perfection. My sister had the watermelon Margarita, which was also amazing. We had the bacon wrapped jalapeño peppers for our appetizer - loved them!! We also had guacamole, which was a pretty small bowl so I would’ve loved to have had more but it was good. It could’ve had a bit more seasoning, but no major complaints about that. The chips and salsa are freshly made by Mr. Geraldo. I had the enchiladas with Verde sauce and was happy with my selection. The rest of my party had enchiladas with Ranchero sauce and they were happy with that. It was such a comfortable experience. I was not able to take a picture of the outside due to the weather (rainy and windy) that was knocking over chairs. I went on a Saturday about 2 o’clock. Our bill for the four of us was $102 so that was pretty reasonable for the amount of food that we ate. We left comfortable and full. I will absolutely be going back to visit real soon and bringing my friends and family.

I love the food here. I've been twice and it's exquisite every time. Never cold, always freshly made. Their cheese is definitely the best around and the price is much more affordable than anywhere else I've been. The waiters are very helpful
